UFT Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking for a skilled UFT (Unified Functional Testing) automation engineer to design and maintain automated tests. The role involves designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems — and developing your own skills so the solutions stay current.
To succeed in this role you work exceptionally accurately and approach technical problems with a solver’s mindset. UFT experience is required, but it can also be learned with us.
Your responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and expand the automated testing infrastructure
- Ensure code quality through peer reviews so guidelines and standards are followed
- Integrate new automation scripts into the CI/CD process
- Look after the CI process: review results regularly and report defects
- Investigate issues in the software through targeted testing
- Work closely with cross-functional teams
- Keep up with the latest developments in the industry
What you bring
- Command of the fundamentals of manual and automated testing
- At least three years of experience in automated quality assurance
- Experience with automation architecture and strategy
- Very good knowledge of Java, Python or VBScript
- Understanding of HTTP, JSON and REST
- Experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) by OpenText — can also be learned with us
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with SQL, Postman and Jenkins
- Experience with one of the common test frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber or UFT POM
- Good English for working with the team and the client
- Good understanding of development processes and the software lifecycle
- Good knowledge of different testing methods and techniques
- Knowledge of agile methods, preferably Scrum
- Experience with bug and test tracking systems, preferably Jira
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with API testing and automating RESTful services
- Experience with JMeter or Gatling
