Mobile App Testing for UBS
Challenge
UBS was new to mobile apps and in need of a continuous iOS and Android app testing infrastructure that worked together with ALM QualityCenter and met their security guidelines. The schedule was very tight: four months.
Solution
QualityOne set up a UFTMobile server with real devices and connected it directly to ALMQC. With a large set of UFT test automation scripts, continuous regression testing became possible.
Benefits
UBS gained a mobile app test infrastructure and a comprehensive set of UFT test scripts for continuous testing. The solution saves up to 85 % of the effort and time compared with manual testing.
Automation and Performance Testing for BMW
BMW is a German multinational producing luxury cars and motorcycles, with the co-brands MINI and Rolls-Royce.
Challenge
In 2010 BMW set out to start e-commerce by launching multiple online shops for its brands and product series. The product data was stored technically but was far from ready to publish in an online shop.
Solution
QualityOne provided a concept to enrich all product data using a PIM, and set up a test infrastructure with test automation and performance testing — using QualityCenter and QTP for regression and end-to-end testing.
Benefits
BMW gained a PIM (product information management) system and was able to sell online. In addition, every deployment was tested automatically with scripts created and run by QualityOne within BMW's own development lifecycle.
Mobile App Testing for V-ZUG
Challenge
With its brand new mobile app, V-ZUG wanted high-quality app testing combined with testing of the interaction with its appliances. This first for V-ZUG carried considerable weight, and a dependable partner was needed.
Solution
QualityOne set up a test strategy that could test the app and the appliances both independently and in interaction. After a successful launch, regression testing for the apps could be run on demand.
